- Why do you spray those
logs with water all the time?
When temperatures get above 65 degrees Fahrenheit, softwood logs can develop a stain caused by bacteria. This stain doesn’t affect the performance of lumber, but is an undesirable characteristic for our wholesale customers who buy our lumber for manufacturing windows and doors. Water also helps prevent insects from burrowing into the logs.
